Dare to Bare

Still don’t know what to wear on your hot date for Valentine’s Day? Well here’s some inspiration! I found three shoulder baring tops that add the perfect touch of sexy. Tops that show of your shoulders can be fun and flirty, which is why these tops are an ideal fit for Valentine’s Day!

Top #1: American Apparel “Choker Top

Top #2: Missguided “Long Sleeve Jersey Top

Top #3: Fashion Nova “Mackenzie Top

These tops are perfect for date night. Wear them with jeans and heels for a more casual look. Or dress them up with a sleek pair of trousers, a midi or leather skirt, along with a killer pair of heels and a red hot lip to make things more interesting! (In the photos I paired each top with the bottoms from my “Oh So Tight Set” by Naked Wardrobe and I’m wearing Mac Cosmetics “Ruby Woo” lipstick).

Hope everyone enjoys their Valentine’s Day! xo

Dress: c/0 Fevrie (here) // Shoes: Unlisted by Kenneth Cole //Necklace: Forever21

This dress was just perfect! The cut out on the sides and the deep v-neck gives the dress a sexy touch, while the length still keeps it classy. It doesn’t end there! Even the back of the dress kept things interesting, as it gives the illusion that you’re wearing a two piece. I even like the visible dark trimmed zipper down the back. I thought that small detail gave the dress a little bit of an edge. Since the dress itself is such a statement piece on it’s own, I chose to keep everything else simple. I paired the dress with nude pumps that matched my neutral toned makeup and added a small silver necklace that was perfect for the neck line. This dress is ideal for a night out and with New Years right around the corner you’ll have the perfect excuse to rock this dress and turn some heads!

Heels and Camo Combo

Camouflage always seems to find its way back into our closets. I personally love the whole camo vibe, from the army prints to the hunter greens. When you think camouflage “tomboy or “casual” might come to mind, but with all the fun styles that incorporate the camo print, you can easily take that look from day to night!

I bought a pair of army printed joggers not too long ago and the first time I wore them I kept it more on the casual side. However, last Thursday I was going out for a ladies night and was trying to decide on what to wear. I didn’t want to get all dressed up, but didn’t want to be too casual…I needed something in between. So with the whole sweatpants and heels trend going on, I was inspired to pull a look together with my camo joggers for my Thursday night out. Keep scrolling to see how I styled my army joggers!

Body Shirt: (old staple piece in my closet) // Jogger Pants: Love Culture // Shoes: Target // Necklace: Mad Rag

I decided to keep it a bit simple, so I paired the army joggers with a basic black t-shirt. To keep the outfit from looking too casual and give it a flirty touch, I chose to wear my black caged heels. I accessorized with a chunky gold necklace and kept it on the dark side with my lipstick choice and went for big hair to finish off my look.

Holy Chic

“Holy Chic”…how awesome is that phrase?! There’s only one thing that can make it better, having it printed on a cozy sweater! A black sweater is always an essential for the cold weather, and I thought having a cute phrase on it would make an outfit a little more fun and interesting. I scored this cute sweater at Forever21, they always have the cutest things!

Sweater: Forever21 // Pants: Love Culture // Boots: H&M

I decided to pair the sweater with my burgundy waxed pants, instead of going with black or regular jeans to make the outfit stand out more. My black booties worked perfectly to pull the whole look together, as it helped make the black sweater pop more against the burgundy pants. To dress up my outfit just a tad bit, I went ahead and threw on my black and gold chunky necklace. For the final touches, I opted for a dark burgundy lip to compliment my pants and went with a chic braided updo.

Valentine’s Day Hairspiration

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching! So I decided to do a post to provide you gals with a little hair inspiration for the day of love. Here are three quick and easy hairstyles to complete your Valentine’s Day look.

Tools Used: For all three hairstyles all I used were a few hair comb clips and bobby pins.

Hairstyle #1 “One Sided Do”

Hairstyle #2 “High Pony & Faux Bangs”

Hairstyle #3 “Bun Head”

Killer Coat

“Baby, it’s cold outside.” You can sing that again! As the temperature continues to drop, it’s crucial to keep warm when heading out. However, that does not mean you have to sacrifice style for warmth – in this case you can have the cake and eat it too! There are so many options in the outerwear world that will keep you looking fashionable while taking on the cold. Take for example this killer coat I scored for a great price at Forever21:

Coat: Forever21 (similar) // Sweater: Forever21 (here) // Pants: Love Culture (similar) Necklace: Forever21 (similar) Boots: Timberland

The moment I saw this coat, I absolutely fell in love with it! The combination of tweed, faux fur and leather was perfect. The faux fur collar is ideal for keeping you warm when facing the harsh cold wind! Underneath, I wore my “Holy Chic” sweater (my exact thoughts when I first laid eyes on this coat). I chose to wear my coated black pants, and I must say I’m happy I did as it made the faux leather sleeves on the coat stand out more. With all the snow on the ground, I threw on my Timberland boots (I’m sure glad they made a comeback this year, they really came in handy). I wanted to keep my look somewhat casual, and I think I achieved that by pairing my outfit with the Timberland boots. For the final touches, I added my chunky gold necklace because I love the combination of black and gold and opted for a vampy lip.

Thanks for stopping by…stay warm and fabulous loves! xo.

New Years Eve Festivities!

Yelling HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my lovely readers! Isn’t New Years one of the most festive times of the year?! Personally, it’s one of my favorite holidays. You get to dress up in a fabulous outfit, join the many festivities going on, and last but not least, you get a fresh start not to become a new you…but a better you, as you welcome in a new year.

Every year I throw a New Years Eve party with close friends and family, it’s always an awesome time. My favorite part is the decorating…I love getting creative to achieve that perfect party atmosphere. This year we decided to do a Mardi Gras theme. I absolutely loved the outcome of the party! Here’s a look:

The main table – can’t have a Mardi Gras party without beads and masks! This was probably one of my favorite decoration pieces for the party.

IMG_2765IMG_2766Can’t have a party without balloons! Another one of my favorite decorations; Balloons, and lots of them, just makes it feel that much more festive don’t you agree?

And now for my New Years Eve look. I shopped around for something, but there was nothing that caught my eye, and after trying on a few ill-fitting dresses, I threw in the towel. At the end of the day, I didn’t find anything I loved. Which is probably my fault since I waited so last-minute to shop for an outfit. So, I headed to my closet…hoping to pull something together last-minute. Fortunately, I found a little gem in the back of my closet – it was a romper I bought maybe years ago that I never got to wear. (See, I knew I was holding onto it for a reason…haha).

IMG_2803

IMG_2801IMG_2802IMG_2800I decided to pair my Rampage romper I purchased a while back at Macy’s with my American Apparel thigh highs and black suede wedges. You have to love a pair of thigh highs, it adds a trendy touch while keeping those legs warm! The romper had a very low-cut v-neck and since it was a family affair, I  covered up the ta-tas with a laced trimmed bandeau. I wore an orange lip (Covergirl’s blastflipstick in 840 stunner) to bring out the orange beading on the romper’s midsection. I styled my hair with a 1″ curling iron to create loose waves on my long blonde locks. And there you have it…I was feeling fabulous and fierce to bring in 2014!

Hope everyone enjoyed their Holidays! Hoping this year has nothing but awesome-ness in store for us all!!! xo.masked

I, myself was actually looking for some holiday outfit inspiration when I came across a gold sequin cropped top in my closet. The gold and sequin combination had holiday written all over it! So the star of today’s post will be…yup, you guessed it! – That little gold sequin cropped top. I put together two different looks with this one top, hope you guys like it!

Note: All the pieces I am wearing are all older. However, I did my best to find similar pieces for you guys! Keep reading to get the details!

OUTFIT #2

GOLDEN GIRL2GOLDEN GIRL2GOLDEN GIRL2

Skirt: BCBG (similar one here and here) // Thigh High Socks: American Apparel (here) // Watch: Michael Kors

I had forgotten all about this little gold top – isn’t it the best when you find hidden treasures in your closet?! For outfit number one I went for a more simple look, pairing the top with my black high waisted pants. I felt like the shirt made a statement all on it’s own so pairing it with simple black pants would still make the outfit stand out. As for outfit number two I wanted to go for a more trendy and flirty look. I decided to pair the top with my black body-con skirt that I hiked up a bit in order to rock my thigh high socks. I thought the thigh high socks made the outfit look a bit more trendy.

Now here are some close ups of my hair and makeup:
